Pré Saint Didier
Nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc, Pré-Saint-Didier occupies an enviable position in the center of Valdigne. The two main roads of the area branch off from the village, taking the shape of a V: one directed to the Piccolo San Bernardo Pass crossing the town of La Thuile, the other towards Courmayeur.
The name has its roots in the Latin name Desiderius. The area of the municipality corresponds to the ancient Arebrigium of the Romans, one of the numerous fortified villages that stood on the Alpis Graia road.
The town is a well-known tourist destination suitable for all ages and all types of holidays. In fact, its spa, already known in Roman times, was inaugurated in 1838.
Today the spa offers a wellness program with hydromassage tubs of differentiated intensity, relaxation tubs, invigorating waterfalls, saunas, etc.
In summer Pres St. Didier represents an excellent starting point for even challenging walks or excursions. In winter it is the gateway to the Courmayeur and La Thuile ski areas.
